Ted Cruz Has A Plan to Fight Judicial Tyranny – And Here It Is

The Political Insider ^ | Rusty Weiss

Never has it been more evident that America needs a strong Constitutional conservative in the White House to help negate the last two terms of a radical left-wing President, the last six years of Republicans who bow down to Obama’s every whim, and now against a Supreme Court engaged in judicial tyranny.

Sinise: ‘Serious Disconnect’ Between the Average American and Military

Actor Gary Sinise said there is a “serious disconnect” between the average American citizen and its military, emphasizing the need to educate the public about lasting effects of war.

“Education, as I was saying, is such a critically important part of letting our young people understand why it’s important to support this 0.1 percent of our population that serves in the military. It’s a very, very small percentage of over 300 million people serving in uniform, defending our country,” Sinise said at the National Press Club.

The Left vs. Robert E. Lee [The Attempt to Nazify the Honorable General]

American Thinker ^ | 06/30/2015 | Greg Richards

Posted on 6/30/2015, 9:19:22 AM by SeekAndFind

With the revulsion against Confederate symbols that has resulted from shooter Dylann Roof’s internet picture with the Confederate battle flag, Robert E. Lee has been put in the gunsights of social radicals. Lee was one of the two great generals of the Civil War and due in part to his good fortune in having an excellent biographer in Douglas Southall Freeman, is generally regarded as the greatest, although it should be noted that Grant won the war.

Lee came from one of the oldest families in Virginia and arguably its most distinguished. His father, Light Horse Harry Lee, was a general in the Revolutionary War and a relative, Richard Henry Lee, was a signer of the Declaration of Independence. Winfield Scott, general in chief of the Army before the Civil War, thought Lee the best soldier he had ever seen. Lee was offered the command of the Union army but resigned his commission to fight, as he saw it, for his homeland, Virginia. Before the Civil War, the country was referred to as “these United States.” After the Civil War, it was “the United States.” So, ante bellum, there was a different view of the country than we have now.

It Isn’t John Roberts’ Problem: It’s Ours

When Chief Justice Roberts voted in Obamacare in 2012 I wrote that:

[T]he only way to make liberals accept a repeal of ObamaCare is by the brute force of political power, the mandate of the voters expressed at the ballot box.

Now Roberts has pushed aside the little matter of the Obamis’ deliberate attempt to intimidate states into building their own health care exchanges in King v. Burwell. Justice Kennedy has rubber-stamped gay marriage, and hey, what’s the matter with a little disparate impact among friends?

I can think of many ways to describe our relationship with Israel. Bipartisan is not one of them, although that is what Susan Rice–that paragon of veracity and honor–told Charlie Rose.

However, because Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu spoke to Congress at the invitation of House Speaker John Boehner, it has become a very partisan affair and, according to Rice, there would be repercussions.

Persecution More Likely With Court’s Marriage Decision

Justice Kennedy

The U.S. Supreme Court has just engaged in its latest unconstitutional exercise of raw judicial power and surely its most extravagant attempt to forcibly remake American culture since the 1973 Roe v. Wade/Doe v. Bolton abortion cases. The Obergefell v. Hodges decision on same-sex “marriage” was based on the notion of “substantive due process”—which essentially has meant rights that the Court, following the thinking of elite opinion-makers and organized interest groups, has read into the Constitution.
